Jaipur Living
Founded on the principle of dignity, employing "untouchables" and subverting centuries-old practices that had shunned poor, women + artists, Nand Kishore Chaudhary began Jaipur Rugs in 1978, as he worked beside 9 artisans on two looms. Jaipur Living has now become a successful, women-owned business committed to the purpose of creating beautiful, handmade rugs and beautifying the lives of consumers, families + friends, artisans + employees. The Jaipur System removes the middleman by employing a network of 40,000 artisans in more than 700 villages in India, ensuring quality and consistency with livable + reliable wages, along with opportunities for personal growth + development. We love the beautiful, handmade feel of these rugs, made in Acworth, Georgia - just north of Atlanta
