I saved one of my favorite rooms for last! This house was the first time I've ever been excited about a primary bedroom and it has everything to do with those windows. This room was part of the previous homeowner's 70s addition (which as previously mentioned, I loved) so we just changed finishes without changing the bedroom layout at all. We painted the stunning windows black, all the walls white, added a favorite light fixture from my previous home and stole a bit of space from the guest room so we could get a walk in closet with it's entrance around the corner from the existing doors.
I loved having sconces on dimmers next to our bed and will incorporate this into all of my future homes. Our bedding layers are mainly from us.
There was some reason I cannot remember we couldn't patch in hardwoods here (it was carpeted before), so we added a sisal carpet for texture. I loved the look of sisal and added another shop favorite rug on top for softness and even more texture.
Over in the primary suite, I was really passionate about getting a separate tub and shower and I played with the layout a bunch. Funnily enough, after posting on Instagram stories about the different options, I received a complete auto cad bath layout from one of my favorite local home builders and we used it exactly. Thanks, Joe :).
We designed custom vanities that were made by Crown Cabinetry, and placed my favorite sconce ever above the bath. We used a budget blush floor tile and white zellige on the walls.
